Having poured with rain the day before, we were blessed with a wonderful clear day
for our show. Our championship winner certainly reflected the feel of the day when
she received her shield. Never have I seen someone look more delighted.
The consequence
of the economic climate and the low emission zone meant numbers were down this year.
Unfortunately the new classes we put on were not supported. This was such a shame
as the show is a unique experience. Nowhere else would you see such a spectacle and
as large a crowd who come to watch.
Many of our competitors come year after year and
you can tell they know the requirements needed to win. Our judge was impressed with
the high standard of good behaviour and general turnout of all the entrants. Everyone
went home bedecked in rosettes claiming they had had a wonderful day.
